Smartly.io is a fast growing team of 100 building a world-class tool for the largest performance advertisers to automate and optimise their Facebook advertising at scale. We’re a badged Facebook Marketing Partner, and we work closely with the largest online advertisers like eBay, JustFab and Skyscanner. We're based in Helsinki, Berlin, San Francisco, New York and Singapore, we're looking for individuals with hunger for learning to join our world-class team!
We’re looking for great Business Developers to join our team! As a Business Developer at Smartly.io, you’ll open new markets and verticals, establish Smartly.io as a market leader, and work with the biggest and most advanced performance marketers in the world to achieve maximum yield for their ad budgets.
You’ll work at the cutting edge of the online marketing industry — which allows you to learn super fast about growing and nurturing your own target market, managing customer relationships with large ecom and travel advertisers, and scaling the operations of a growth company.
This position is open in all of our offices in Helsinki, New York, San Francisco, Singapore and Berlin.
Working in business development at Smartly.io you will
Identify the right clients and contacts and build a relationship with them as well as the local Facebook teams
Develop and manage our top customer relationships and drive new sales by managing customer trials
Develop vertical expertise (e.g. e-commerce, travel, classified, mobile apps, etc)
Take full ownership of your own target segments, and learn super fast in a quickly evolving industry (check out Miikka’s story)
Provide best practices, data insights, and product knowledge to create business solutions for clients
Upsell new features and increase product adoption
Collaborate with customers and product development team to design new product features
Work with the nicest and brightest teammates in a flat organisation
Have the opportunity to rotate globally between offices for 6-12 months or longer

We're looking for you if you have
Genuine interest in online marketing and B-to-B sales
Experience in sales, especially new business acquisition and online marketing
Willingness to push yourself to exceed your goals and and an ability to learn new things quickly
Drive to help others succeed around you
Very fluent spoken and written English
Willingness to travel
Analytical and technical mindset

Fluency in German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean or Chinese or other major languages
Understanding of and connections in the target market

If you and Smartly are a perfect match and you are joining a local office (Berlin, SF, NY, SG), the first few weeks of your employment will be spent at the Helsinki HQ. This is where most of our employees are located (eg all of our developers and product management). You will begin with trainings and hands on work starting the first week.
