Job description
Prepare, develop and analyse key financial information to assist management and other stakeholders to make informed decisions. You will work closely with all departments in the organisation and will need to build effective working relationships.
Main Responsibilities
Work with Cost Controller to improve costing data within SAP. This will include
challenging production variances, attending works order reviews and being
pro-active in driving data accuracy improvement within Manufacturing.
Provide timely reporting for allocated projects, cost centres and profit centres to key stakeholders. This will include variance analysis and re-forecasting.
Assist the finance team with closing month-end by WD5, including providing an accurate flash result on WD3.
Assist with the interim and annual external audit, including preparation of statutory accounts.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts that are aligned to budget holders and company objectives
Prepare analysis and KPIs for use in monthly Management reviews.
Maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations and notes for Cosworth Ltd.
Statutory reporting (Office for National Statistics).
Support Contract Reviews for new and existing work. This will include advising on
accounting considerations (including checking of assumptions), setting up of
project codes and analysing the effect on budget/forecast.
Administer Government and Other Grants (Prepare claims, forecast remaining project).
Taking part in periodic stock and tangible asset checks, as well as daily issue of stock count sheets.
Assist in business case preparation.
Assist Purchase & Sales ledger with adhoc queries, hold a monthly review to ensure the Management Accounts are accurate (specifically regarding aged debtors and GRNI).
Support the Finance team and other departments in
adhoc tasks and projects.
Job Requirement
Qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
Manufacturing Experience
Ability to analyse variances and report on them.
Strong communicator
Attention to detail
Advanced Excel (vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables)
Strong systems skills
Good presentation skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Experience of using SAP
