Job Description
Collaborates with leadership and practice owners to provide support with Provider recruitment, on-boarding, retention, feedback, evaluation, and mentorship. Maintains communication and professional rapport with Providers, senior leadership, managers and staff, building relationships to ensure successful development of Physician Services. Oversees the Provider recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, site visits, interviewing, compensation, employment offers, relocation, etc., collaborating with internal staff (Human Resources Manager and Director of Operations. Works with Physician Services to ensure that financial support and contractual arrangements are market competitive and meet all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Provides periodic updates on Provider need by specialty for recruitment purposes and has latest market information available on compensation levels for each specialty. Responsible for Provider recruitment functions for community Provider practices. As needed, attends annual conferences for education and training on market trends. Assists in the preparation and execution of new Provider employment contracts, submitting them for approval and signature. Works with the CFO to ensure timely payments for sign-on and retention bonuses to providers. Assists PRI and Physician Services as needed regarding new Provider start dates and the on-boarding timeline. Communicates effectively with new Providers and leadership team regarding on-boarding expectations.
Collaborates on an as needed basis with PRI regarding provider retention strategies, to include surveying Providers regarding their recruitment and on-boarding process and their employment experience at regular intervals during their first year of employment. Assists, as needed, in implementing a Provider satisfaction employment survey to be taken on an annual basis. Assists leadership with medical staff succession planning and execution. Collaborates with leadership team on the market availability of candidates, compensation updates, specialty trends, and other key components that affect our strategies. Makes updates to the Provider recruitment strategies as needed to align with the succession plan. Develops annual budget for Provider recruitment and retention. Helps in maintaining profitability through innovative and diligent application of sound resource management principles. Responsible for monthly monitoring of the Provider recruitment budget and staying within budgetary limits.
Qualification Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to provide management for Provider-related services, including Provider recruitment, onboarding, retention and negotiations of Provider contracts, which would typically be gained through 5 years' experience in healthcare and working with Providers.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Health care administration or a related field, or equivalent in education and experience.
