The management team reports directly to the store manager. You will also be the direct manager of the complete human resources team. You establish IKEA as the preferred employer by attracting those who share the IKEA values, ensuring a systematic development for all co-workers, inspiring the co-workers to perform and remain with IKEA. YOUR ASSIGNMENT You translate the national strategy in a store business plan in collaboration with the other management team members. In this way you contribute to position the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market. You inspire, motivate and engage your team fully in reaching goals and generating growth and long-term profitability. You secure an up-to-date succession process and plan by influencing the managers in taking the lead with special focus on talents and high-performing potentials. You are a good example of IKEA leadership and the IKEA values within and outside IKEA, and together with the unit managers help to safeguard and promote the IKEA Culture. You maintain a good relationship with our social partners and ensure that all areas in the unit work with the local policies, procedures and laws. You explain goals, set expectations, provide clear direction and give open and honest feedback also in the case of poor performance. You empower your managers by delegating responsibility to help them grow and develop, according to their individual ability and experience. YOUR PROFILE You have an interest in home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home. You have several years of leadership experience and enjoy working with people. You have experience of setting and implementing action plans and budgets, and following up goals. You can support managers in resolving performance and other people management issues. You have a good knowledge of the local markets and labor conditions and Belgian social legislation. You challenge your department managers and yourself to exceed customer expectations. You get energized by the IKEA values and they are a reflection of your own values. You are modest, open and honest in your collaboration with others. You speak and write fluently the regional languages of the store and English. You are willing to take a day off during the week to work Saturdays.
