Tasks & accountabilities
For the new Eurofighter Training Simulator Programme (PSTS - Pilot Synthetic Training System) we are looking for a Simulation Software Engineer with a focus on model development for the Attack & Ident sub-system.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Development of Attack & Ident simulation software including system design and requirements management
Integration of simulation models into simulation software/Full Flight Simulator
Module responsibility for dedicated LRIs
System engineering for Attack & Ident sub-modules - definition of design, hardware and software architecture and interfaces based on customer requirements
Validation/verification of simulation software and components
Documentation of the appropriate software modules
Analysis of system problem reports and bug fixing
Deliver the design, drawings, schematics, prototype and SW module delegated to you, as per the Work Package description
Manage version control of various iterations if necessary
Decide and specify which analysis has to performed and monitor its execution
Draw conclusions/recommendations based on the analysis performed
Ensure testing and validation of the delegated Work Package is performed
Gather and maintain all necessary documentation related to the delegated Work Package
Technical responsibility at component/equipment/mechanical/software level during the implementation phase, including responsibility for integration, verification and validation
Required skills
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Educated to a degree level in Engineering/Simulation/Modeling or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of avionics systems - knowledge in modelling and qualification standards
Well experienced in software design
Experienced in real time programing
Eurofighter and MaTE experience advantageous
Know-how in sensor modelling (e.g. radar)
Advanced knowledge of information systems
IT experience, in particular in C/C++ essential, ADA, JAVA, Fortran, scripting languages as well as Unix/Linux environment
Good skills in German and fluency in English required
