JOB PURPOSE
To Provide administrative support to individual departments, managers and directors; as well as providing an efficient communication link between departments and interface with external parties.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All administrative support for the office e.g. typing duties, booking train tickets/accommodation, scanning, filing, photocopying and faxing.
Reception/Switchboard cover.
Dealing with visitors, taking calls, Meeting room diary management using Microsoft outlook, servicing meeting rooms, keeping kitchen tidy and clean.
Postal duties - opening, distributing and franking of incoming/outgoing post.
covering the time and attendance system.
Co-ordinating training - dealing with requests, organising training, producing relevant certificates & keeping the training database up to date.
Batching and recording invoices.
Plus such other administrative type duties that may be required from time to time.
To be aware of business continuity processes via Line Manager.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience using Microsoft office suite.
Experience of working in a similar role within a busy office environment (desirable).
Experience of working within the construction industry (desirable).
5 A-C GCSE grades (or equivalent) including maths and English.
Other relevant NVQ's/A levels (desirable)

Ability to manage own work load and act on initiative.
Effective communicator and ability to interact with a range of people at all levels.
Ensure consistent level of service is achieved.
Flexible and adaptable to respond to changing priorities.
Willing to undertake all administrative duties that are required working in a busy office environment.

We are looking for an experienced Administrator to work from our office in Castleford. This role is offered on a full time permanent basis.
