POSITION OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for a target driven business development professional with previous experience and proven success within FM services lines, able to sell as either single, bundled or IFM. The position will suit a highly motivated and diligent individual looking to establish a winning reputation within a highly successful and prestigious company.
The role is specifically aligned to business development within the London area, although UK wide travel is required and the preferred candidate would ideally be based within an hour of London.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for generating new leads, developing client relationships and the subsequent preparation and delivery of both pre-qualification and tender documents
Meeting agreed sales targets, exploring opportunities for new business in defined market sectors and negotiating contracts on behalf of the Company with maximum possible margins
Identify and explore opportunities in existing business through introductions from existing Regional / Divisional Management
Undertake re-tender activity for existing business as required including preparation of tender documentation in conjunction with bid and operational teams
Liaise with the operations team in the co-ordination of contract bids including specification development and pricing
Provide support in the development of the sales database and maintain data accurately
Provide market intelligence where possible and monitor competitor activity, in defined market sectors
Ensure full understanding of any changes and development in legislation and working practices that may affect the company’s operations and/or present new opportunities
Maintain the highest standards of presentation, personal integrity and customer support
Provide statistics and reports as required

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Experience:
Significant experience of new business development within all FM services lines: cleaning, catering, security & technical
Able to sell as either single, bundled or IFM
Experience of selling soft services is essential, (hard services expereince is desirable)
Experience within the Retail and Corporate FM indusrty
Experience of developing cost proposals and writing tender documents.
Experience of presenting at tender presentations.
Proven track record of selling and achieving a sales target
Knowledge and Understanding:
Thorough understanding of the bid, tender and decision making process
Strong financial and commercial acumen
Thorough understanding of current TUPE legislation. An understanding of contract legislation would also be an advantage.
Demonstrate a total passion for food and service, including an understanding of a range of food trends and insights and their application within the contract catering arena.
Strong understanding of the FM market. Up to date knowledge of best practice and innovation in the field.
