Job Description
We are looking for a passionate community leader who will identify top community influencers, drive engagement strategies, deepen our relationship with broader technical community and grow industry influence to adopt Microsoft platform and services in the Mobile First and Cloud First world.
This CPM role will visit and present at wide range of technical communities including non-MS community with 10-15 percent domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and cultivate technical community relationship and recruit top influencers from both online and offline communities.
• Extend the reach of the MVP and RD programs to embrace non-Microsoft influencers.
• Deliver global and regional evangelism initiatives by engaging the community influencers.
• Organize large scale community events sponsored by Microsoft or 3rd party with high quality and best customer experience.
• Develop strong partnership with local audience and technical evangelism team; align the community development plan and drive the key deliverables.
• Lead community planning and business reporting for India.
• Drive execution of the community plan and ensure the alignment across audience and technical evangelism managers with support from DX leads.
• Have deep understanding of Microsoft and adjacent communities in the local market and share the insights to internal stakeholders.
• Conduct influencer review process for MVP and RD program.
• Drive Influencer Program change and support new program launch as needed.
Requirement :
• Deep understanding of technical industry and rich experience in technical communities
• Creative thinker and able to challenge the status quo
• Strong business leadership. Ability to develop country/area business plans throughout the year and obtain buy-in from senior leadership. Accelerate Cross group collaboration. Experience in business reviews is desired
• Experience in customer relationship management and ability to advocate on behalf of the community
• Ability to organize large scale industry events
• Strong project management skill
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; enjoy working in a multi-cultural and diverse environment
• Organized, detail-oriented, and driven self-starter who can lead planning and implementing discussions
• Strong Interpersonal awareness. Ability to manage conflict and develop constructive relationship with internal and external stakeholders to make positive impact on business
• 5+ years in marketing, project management, and/or budget management is required. Experience on modern story telling is desired
• Understanding and passion for technology and technical audiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Computer Science
