Job Description
You will collaborate closely with your team and other development departments all across our divisions. The goal is always to drive decisions on development concepts, used cross functional methodologies and product architectures to enable execution efficiency and secure product feasibility.
In particular you will:
Lead and represent a global team of cross-functional technical experts with impact on all Infineon Divisions and balance their projects and tasks.
Set the mission, strategy and objectives for this new team and establish the organization as appreciated partner for the development departments.
Deliver methodologies for the SoC development process steps – from Requirement Engineering and Concept Analysis to Rollout and Support – and initiate projects to improve cost, quality and cycle time.
Act as main interface for colleagues of all departments, external development partners and EDA vendors.
Establish and maintain relations to Universities in order to foster innovation, enable funding projects and attract talented students.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of projects and methodologies.
Profile
As our team is relatively new we will profit from your conceptual and analytical skills as well as a good sense for change management – this is crucial for the team set-up and acceptance. Furthermore you love to challenge the status quo of the development processes and keep up to the most recent methodologies and tools. And excellent communication skills help you in gathering information from various sources (colleagues, universities, EDA vendors,…) and condensing it to a clear team strategy.
The following experience and skills are helpful:
A degree in Electrical engineering, Physics or similar.
At least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry – giving you a large range of technical knowledge covering the whole SoC product development process.
Sound leadership experience – preferably in an R&D environment.
The ability to lead experienced Technical leaders as well as less experienced colleagues and graduates.
A good understanding of the Frontend and Backend Production as well as Test Engineering.
Good insights into competitors’ design approaches, the EDA industry and the most recent technical developments.
Excellent English language skills due to working in a multi-cultural context – with German skills being highly appreciated.
