Job Description
You are the functional owner of the Fire Safety Systems (sprinklers, fire detection and alarm systems, etc.) on the ASML premises over the entire lifecycle of their installation. You will:
Be responsible for the availability and compliance of the fire safety systems.
Develop the fire safety masterplan (Integraal Plan Brandbeveiliging, or IPB) for the ASML Veldhoven campus.
Be responsible for maintenance/control of site and building UPDs (Uitgangspuntendocumenten, or starting points documents).
Do fire safety studies and generate/review risk assessment reports; lead/participate in internal audits, e.g. at the operation and maintenance department.
Initiate analysis, including field visits, system testing, and hydraulic analysis and propose new projects, to ensure:
compliance
reduced safety risks
improved performance
optimum costs levels
Define project design starting points and translate these into UPD and PvE (Programma van Eisen, or Program of Requirements, PoR) documents.
Review and provide input and recommendations to fire protection designs, calculations, analyses, and reports produced by outside contractors. As needed, provides support to projects by identifying issues, evaluating alternative solutions, and providing recommendations.
Validate/review test plans, participate in testing and commissioning, and obtaining the required certifications and occupancy permits.
Interface with other expertise managers within the Facility Asset Management organization.
Be responsible for generating Engineering and Design Guideline documents for fire safety systems, including establishment of fire protection design criteria applicable codes.
