PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP Education is the world's largest IT Education provider and a recognized market leader, successfully delivering customer and partner enablement for several years. The mission of SAP Education is to drive customer success by extending its reach of enablement across all customer lifecycle phases, across all target audiences (e.g. end users, project teams, and partner consultants), and to increase customer and market penetration in a significant way.
The Head of Education Italy is responsible for the full business of Education across the Italian country.
This position is predominantly a sales leadership role, responsible for managing the sales teams to secure new business and achieve sales targets.
The reporting of the role is solid into the Head of Education EMEA South
The successful candidate must be an innovative leader with a strong commercial background who has delivered consistent results through the leadership of a sales team in a transforming market.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Accountable for the effective running of the Italian Education business
Primary performance goals include:
Drive Education top line and bottom line growth within Italy - Enable Education to exceed annual performance targets
Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of sales opportunities; enable the conversion of pipeline to profitable revenue
Drive Market Unit success via regular coaching and monitoring sessions with sales and consulting team
Lead/Manage team of managers and team members to execute on the Education strategy.
Sales team management including performance, personal and professional development
Relentlessly deliver on annual Profitability and Contribution Targets
Provide accurate and timely forecast data and reporting
Build a network of C-level stakeholders, develop and foster these relationships across industry, community and business groups
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills
The successful person will be a strong sales leader with excellent general management experience
Higher education/Graduate or Post-graduate degree
Ability and experience of managing a P&L. Sales expertise in a Line Manager function is a plus
Creativity enabling him/her to challenge current practices and ways of thinking
Intercultural experience and sensitivity
A track record of personally building strong customer relationships
Business strategy planning and knowledge management
Excellent written and spoken English
WORK EXPERIENCE
Proven track record of effective sales management
At least 5+ year’s technology industry experience, ideally Education business experience
Experience leading a virtual and international team
