JOB PURPOSE
A unique opportunity to join a growing Agile development team, to develop modern and exciting web & hybrid mobile applications using the latest technologies.
You will be working with small teams on projects supporting core business functions. Responsibilities span a wide range; from design, development, testing, implementation and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & development of new web applications;
Support, maintenance, tuning & enhancement of existing web applications;
Produce documentation such as technical specification, implementation plans and technical diagrams;
Follow common coding standards to ensure consistent code-base;
Work closely with other members of Agile teams to ensure successful deliverables on a regular basis;
Ensure high standards of code quality are met, utilising multiple testing techniques such as automated and functional;
Follow Extreme Programming practices such as pair programming, integration testing and code review.;
Contribute to the department's ways of working by suggesting, and implementing, continuous improvement initiatives;
Stakeholder engagement is a key element to drive success of any project; as such products may be required to be demonstrated on a regular basis.
The role would primarily use Microsoft products / tools such as Visual Studio, ASP.NET MVC / Web API, C#, MS SQL & IIS. HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 are also an essential requirement.
In addition to the above, there is a requirement to support, maintain and further develop existing in-house applications.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Full stack developer
ASP.NET MVC / WEB API / C# / Entity Framework;
JavaScript & CSS3, Durandal, Angular, Node.js;
MS SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, data integration experience;
Development of Hybrid mobile applications using HTML5, Xamarin and Kendo UI;
Java, J2EE, JSP, JDBC, Struts, Tomcat, ANT;
TDD / BDD using Javascript framework;
Unit Testing Frameworks (e.g. NUnit / JUnit / Mocha);
Microsoft Azure;
TFS;
Test Automation Software (e.g. Test Manager);
BizTalk;
Microsoft Dynamics AX;
Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programming;
Degree-level education.

We are looking for an experienced .Net/Java Developer to work from our office in Erdington. Please note, we will be relocating from our current office in Erdington, Birmingham to our new Head Quarters in Bickenhill Lane, Solihull from Q1 2018. This role is offered on a full time and permanent basis.
