Job Description
Your main responsibilities will be to proofread technical documentation, written in (U. S.) English, and to provide feedback to a team of experienced technical writers. Over time you will have the opportunity to expand your role: writing technical documents and teaching an English exam preparation class (our aim is for all non-native English speakers in the Documentation Team to gain the prestigious Cambridge Proficiency in English certificate).
Responsibilities:
Proofreading user manuals, tutorials and other software guides in (US) English
Ensuring the documentation is concise, logical and adheres to style guides
Using the approval process to provide feedback to technical writers
Communicating with technical writers, training professionals, developers and testers
Developing your understanding of key pieces of GMC software by completing internal training

Teaching a Cambridge Proficiency in English exam preparation class
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualities:
A native English speaker with a thorough knowledge of grammar
IT experience (advanced-user level)
A conscientious approach, independent thinking
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
Professional writing experience
A degree in a related field such as IT or English
TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate or similar
