GartnerSenior Accountant, Oslo Apply Oslo Regular Full-time Job Description: Senior Accountant, Oslo Norway Finance department in Norway performs accounting activities across Norway, Denmark and Sweden , including recording and posting of Account Payable disbursements, coordinating payroll services, general ledger bookings, monthly accruals and reconciliations, VAT declarations and month/year-end closing responsibilities of Statutory and US Gaap books, auditing T&E Expenses. We are seeking for a motivated professional to join our Finance team as the Senior Accountant primarily responsible of Sweden. What you'll do : Prepare monthly / quarterly / year-end closing Perform accounting activities and ensure accuracy and compliance Manage GL accounting, execute and/or record transactions and maintain necessary supporting documentation Prepare monthly account reconciliations to the general ledger Prepare and control Intercompany Transactions Prepare monthly Payroll info and coordinate work of external Payroll provider Prepare and File VAT declarations and other statutory reports Prepare Annual Financial Statements for review by auditors Assist Tax Team by preparing Annual Tax information for review Prepare and assist the Statutory audit process Assist with any other Audit as required Assist with establishing internal controls and monitoring compliance with Global Policies Drive and support continuous improvement by supporting management initiatives and developing & documenting new processes Execute and/or support special projects #LI-RK2 Job Requirements What you'll need to do: Applicable education required (Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in finance) 5-8 years’ operating experience within a senior finance function of a global multinational company is required Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Standards e.g. Swedish GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS etc Knowledge of Swedish Tax regulations Good hands-on reporting-systems knowledge.
