The role of pricing in banks is changing. Next to the classic pricing of assets and liabilities, banks will be required to price services. This development requires a strong central pricing expertise at the Head Office, supporting the pricing capabilities in each of the 13 business units where ING has retail banking activities.
Purpose of the function:
The purpose of this position is to assure we optimize our pricing capabilities in all countries. Assuring we follow the right methodology in the countries and optimize pricing governance, in both fixed price and negotiated price situations.
Role & Responsibilities:
Working as part of the Retail Banking segment across all countries, you will be responsible to execute international pricing reviews and roll outs. Additionally, you will contribute to the global method development and competency building. You will report to the Global Pricing Lead.
The role includes:
Supporting in driving pricing excellence in ING’s retail banking business units across the globe
Assist the Global Lead Pricing in managing and generating output from cross-functional teams for regular pricing reviews in the countries to identify improvements
Work intensively with Product management (both at HQ and in the countries)
Organize regular pricing strategy meeting in the countries, evaluating results with the BU and help the countries to find improvements
Responsible for organizing Global Pricing Forum. The forum acts as focal point for pricing for the Retail Council (body of all Heads of Retail at ING)
Out of scope: the central pricing function will not have an escalation role, all pricing decisions taken locally

Understands the inter-relationships & dependencies of all different elements of the customer value propositions, the P&L impact and the balance sheet impact.
