Job Description
As Waterfall Project Manager you are responsible for projects within the EMEA region varying in size and complexity, across different domains (manufacturing, sales, EDI, HR etc….). The projects can be country specific, regional or global. Key responsibilities include managing project scope, budget, project board, resources, schedule, risk, and organizational change management activities.
Job responsibilities:
Develop project plans including work breakdown structures, project milestones, critical path analyses, risk assessment and management plans, cost/benefit analyses, staffing plans, project timelines, and project budgets
Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of projects
Build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, vendors, and other Tenneco departments involved in the projects
Prepare project status reports for upper management
Ensure project milestones are met on time and within project budgets
Utilize project management methodology to direct and lead team deliverable development
Drive decisions to ensure the success of projects taking into account timing, risk, functional requirements, and business benefits
Required Skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Certificate / License:
PMI certification is a plus
Skills:
Proficiency in project management methodology, project planning tools and techniques; Waterfall methodology required and Agile methodology experience preferred. PMI certification is a plus
Experience in using Planview Enterprise System for managing projects is a plus
Ability to interface and influence at multiple organizational levels
Excellent relationship building and networking skills; able to excel within a matrix organization and work with virtual teams; global team leadership is a plus
Organized and able to function successfully in a team environment
Experience with implementations of ERP (preferably SAP as this is Tenneco’s ERP platform) as Project Manager, e.g. within plant manufacturing, distribution center, or customer service/order management.
Excellent technical, organizational, troubleshooting, problem solving and budgeting and time management skills
Goal oriented and possess a drive to meet project deliverables and deadlines
Basic knowledge of finance tools and general business operating principles
Automotive industry experience is a plus
Familiarity with office software products including: MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel and Visio.
Willingness to travel (depending on the projects assigned: up to 50% but likely less)
Languages:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in other languages relevant for the region is a plus (French, German...)
Required Experience
At least 5 years experience as project manager in a relevant field in a complex international environment
