Job location: Tenneco Rybnik
Reporting to the CI Leader, this position will deliver business analytics to drive continuous improvement. The Operations Analyst serves as the Subject Matter Expert on data analysis and reporting. He or she will collect and review data for products and processes and establish operational metrics for leadership in safety, quality, delivery and cost. The position requires data extraction, cleansing and formatting for leadership review.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Review engineering drawings and routings to identify critical attributes
Collect and analyze data to establish a baseline of current performance
Perform deep dives and drill downs to identify emerging trends in performance
Build and customize reports for operational metrics
Format reports for leadership review on a daily, weekly and monthly cadence
Maintain Master data and up-keep Best Business Practice Master Data
Support production control, material control, material planning departments in improvement projects relating to scheduling inventory management and raw material flow and tracking.
Support prototype and pilot runs to address design and process feasibility concerns from a departmental
Interface with plant engineering on projects addressing staffing, manpower, time and capacity analysis.
Calculate cost reductions and/or various analyses to determine optimal problem-solving
Team with the Plant Controller to document savings and profit results of continuous improvement activities.
Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement and cost reduction in the execution of the job function.
Travel may be required on occasion less than 10%
Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain management
1 - 5 years’ experience in Operations or Engineering.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and files
Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database management software.
Hands on knowledge and experience with SAP
Experience in automotive industry is a plus
Experience in identifying areas of improvement.
Ability to think creatively and proactively propose solutions with an attention to detail.
Ability to effectively communicate issues and ideas with peers and with management.
Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization.
Ability to facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams.
Ability to operate independently within a tight deadline environment.
Is a high energy self-starter with a resilient, can-do attitude.
