There is 1 role that can be based in multi locations.
Job Title: Business Development – Senior Executive - Employment
Reports to: Head of Groups Business Development
Purpose of the role: Support the Employment/Rewards team in the planning and implementation of delivery of business development plans
Main duties and responsibilities
General BD
· Contribute to the successful creation and implementation of business development plans and budgets;
· Support Partners in relation to the delivery of Group initiatives and business development campaigns;
· Undertake research to identify market trends and targets as well as opportunities to partner with external organisations to reach new audiences;
· Maintain relationships with key external bodies and intermediaries;
· Manage credentials documents and create engaging collateral and other marketing materials;
· Liaising with PDLs and other key internal contacts;
· Attending and contributing to Partner strategy sessions
Legal Directories and Awards
Support in the preparation of submissions to the legal directories (Legal 500/Chambers & Partners) and key legal and industry awards:
· Project-management of submission processes to ensure high quality/winning submissions drafted within tight deadlines;
· Liaison with Partners to collect and collate relevant information, testimonials and other required information;
· Draft compelling copy for submissions.
Events
Working alongside the Events Team, deliver successful national and international events including:
· Identify legal and commercial topics for events Draft engaging and creative invitations to encourage attendance at events;
· Support throughout the entire events lifecycle including coordinating feedback and follow-up activity to maximise opportunities for new business;
· Analyse activity including events activity and report on success and ROI.
Bids
Support the generation of revenue through winning new business, working with the central Bids team or autonomously as required:
· Lead as required on the project management and preparation of bids, including logging of opportunities on the firm's CRM system, recording client feedback;
· Run effective rehearsals with partners for pitch presentations;
· Input to bid strategy and creative input to bid documentation;
· Involvement in internal projects to improve bid information flow, analysis and best practice within the firm.
Research
Contributing to the collation of the firm's knowledge base through:
· Tracking/monitoring forthcoming projects;
· Monitoring Trade Association websites and bulletins and ensure attendance at key external events.
PR/Comms
Supporting the reputational activities of the firm through:
· Maintaining the business development content on relevant group pages on the firm's intranet.
· Maintaining Sector and Group information on firm websites including preparation of case studies.
Team Support
· Attending and contributing to relevant Group and Sector meetings.
· Supporting the budgetary process.
· Supervising and supporting Business Development Assistants in the team
Person Specification
Qualifications:
· Degree qualified or equivalent level
· Marketing and/or legal training desirable
Relevant Experience:
· Previous experience of business development in a professional environment.
· Knowledge /experience/evidenced interest in Employment/Rewards
· Experience of taking the lead in managing bids
· Writing and editing copy for client facing documents
