Set the UX vision for and craft applications and interfaces that translate business and user needs into highly engaging experiences .
We are growing our UX competency amidst the digital transition of the Philips Lighting business. To join us in our journey, we are looking for an experienced Digital/UX Designer, fond of collaboration, able to set UX vision and hands-on when it comes to research, ideation and development. You will be involved in a range of lighting related digital applications for the professional as well as consumer market (Philips Hue).

You will be part of a global Design community and will be based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. You will work in a cross-functional agile environment alongside UX team-members, system architects, developers, product and program managers, and promote user-centricity through research, co-creation, prototyping, testing and iteration.
The Design function aims to deliver a coherent and excellent user experience, by leading change, understanding users and partners, sharing knowledge, building competence and creating standards and assets for the design of Philips Lighting products.
You will work very closely with other designers in the creation of excellent SW/HW eco-systems and are expected to coach and help mature junior team members.
We are looking for the following experience and skills:
Bachelor/Master’s Degree from a reputed design institute in Interaction Design.
5 years of relevant user-centered, interaction design experience in a fast-paced agile environment.
Able to scope, define requirements, set direction, lead and deliver a project ensuring UX quality.
Able to establish connections with key stakeholders and can present/communicate convincingly.
Able to participate in shaping up the project’s strategic approach and ensure design's strategic involvement.
Experience with native mobile applications (iOS/Android) as well as web applications.
A master with common design tools such as Adobe CS as well as Sketch, Invision, Flinto, Axure RP, etc.
Sufficient understanding of programming languages such as HTML5, CSS3, javascript and software development processes.
Skilled in user research methods, usability testing, co-creation, personas, user journey maps… an evangelist of user-centricity and (service) design thinking.
Able to define and measure UX metrics and product analytics.
