Position Overview/Summary:
Electrical engineer is responsible that the drawings, specifications and electrical equipment are according to specifications, rules and regulations made by Dresser-Rand a Siemens business and Customer requirement.
Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred):
Engineering college degree (electrical/controls).
Knowledge of hazardous area certification (IEC / NEC)
Knowledge of electrical machinery (synchronous generators, motors)
Knowledge of generator control panels (GCP)
Knowledge of LV switchgears and motor control centers (MCC)
Knowledge of oil and gas specifications
Minimum three years of relevant experience (packaging business).
Familiar/Confident user with IT tools required in Engineering (Excel, Word, PDF editor…)
Good Norwegian and English skills, both written and oral.
Ability to adapt and execute tasks on short notice.
Position Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible that the drawings, specifications and electrical equipment are according to specifications, rules and regulations made by Dresser-Rand (D-R) a Siemens business and Customer requirement.
Technical responsibility that all electrical components and systems included in the product are specified and designed in accordance with Dresser-Rand (D-R) a Siemens business requirements, Customer requirements, Rules and regulations.
Technical discussion with sub-suppliers.
Production of technical specifications towards sub-suppliers.
Evaluate and approve documentation from sub-suppliers.
Make RFQs for all electrical equipment and fire and gas detectors.
Be available for inspections of sub-suppliers equipment. (Expect travel up to 20 days/year)
