Job Description
Discover your opportunities and start working for us as
Engineer for steel constructions
Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your engineering skills by taking a leading role in major, international projects?
With BEUMER Group, you will be part of a growing family-owned company and a team of very dedicated colleagues. Travelling up to 40 days a year, you will collaborate across functions and cultures to create complex baggage handling systems for airports, focusing specifically on our steel constructions.
Develop global solutions
You join BEUMER Group (formerly known as Crisplant) at our offices in Aarhus, Denmark, to make steel constructions for international baggage handling projects in our Airport Division. We have the leading product on the market, and our mission critical systems are installed across international airports (where they run 24/7) as an essential part of daily operations.
Participate in projects from start to finish
The steel-structures are the essential "glue" in our integration of all parts of our baggage handling systems. In this role, you use your expertise in steel constructions and structural engineering to implement defined processes for structural steelwork in projects – from the design phase to the commissioning of systems at the customer site – making sure that we deliver great quality. Specifically, you:
Plan, schedule and perform design sketches of the structural steelwork within the overall project schedule (detailed design done by sub-suppliers)
Ensure that steelwork constructions fit system layout and mechanical and electrical services
Become the single point of contact for all structural steelwork issues for the client, subcontractors and project team
Select and monitor subcontractors, do budget control and ensure that projects progress
Deliver on-site support and approval of steel structures
A team of competent colleagues
You join a team of 17 engineers and project assistants in Mechanical Engineering. Through sheer skill and expert knowledge, we engineer major projects across the globe. And we support and challenge each other to make these projects meet our high quality standards. Here, you will be sure to grow, and you will be part of a team that is both social and collaborative.
Engineer who is familiar with steel
Throughout the many different, international projects, you independently manage the delivery of the complete structural steelwork. To do so, you need to be comfortable using your project management skills and collaborating across functions and cultures, both within BEUMER Group and with our subcontractors. Your qualifications:
You have a degree in structural or civil engineering.
You have 2+ years of experience calculating, designing and implementing steel structures.
You know the machinery directive, have mechanical insight and preferably know 3D-CAD.
Any acquaintance with negotiations and the legal and commercial parts of contracts is a plus.
You can travel up to 40 days a year, and you communicate effortlessly in English.
Furthermore, we will get to know you as an open-minded and curious colleague. And you have the communication skills to make an impact and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously without losing sight of the details.
