Position Summary:
Key function created to support “Operation Freedom” projects, in charge of the Program Management of these outsourcing
implementations.
As member of the EU AfterMarket Purchasing team, coordinate and drive execution of the outsourcing activities for components
which are 100% dedicated to our AMBU (rods, tubes, discs, HD parts,…)
Scope:
Responsible for providing AM Business Unit support, including requests for quotation, new product launch development,
leading early supplier involvement, value analysis/value engineering, and leading supplier launch coordination with local
manufacturing sites in alignment with Global Purchasing Commodity teams.
Major Responsibilities:
Development and implementation of outsourcing strategies in regards to the components assigned to Ride Performance. First priority being to support the “Gliwice/G+” needs for our Polish production site and achieve/secure an OFR up to 95%.
Identification and management of the Supply base in close collaboration with the AMBU (product management, central planning, global purchasing & product engineering).
As from the start, ensure the appropriate control on our cost model & identify/implement cost reduction opportunities (low cost countries/ best delivered cost).
Support VA/VE initiatives, together with the relevant teams (i.e. Last Minute Differentiation Projects).
Represents Global Purchasing in AM BU weekly meetings and coordinates all actions towards GP (reporting, action registers,…)
Responsibilities could be extended to AMCA projects later on (BiB / “Back in Business” with a focus on hot end products).
Required Skills
Skills and Education:
2 to 4 years of relevant working experience in Purchasing, Engineering or Production Dept, preferably within a global environment. Automotive experience is a plus.
Strong coordination/planning skills and team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
Degree in engineering preferred or equivalent by experience.
Analytical skills (good knowledge of MS Office/SAP). Able to go straight to the point, balance & focus on top priorities.
Good presentation skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English at minimum.
Capability to promote new ideas, initiate, lead and follow up on team activities. Well organized.
Ability to understand and communicate engineering drawings and specifications.
Ability to develop flexible (local) strategies in a continuously changing internal and external environment.

Autonomous & Proactive mindset.
Travel up to 10% (Europe).
