job Description
Flow Engineer is a part of the production team, and is technically responsible for the assigned production flow. The production flow is made up of a wide range of processes, starting from the production of tubes, up to the assembly and packaging of shock absorbers. A number of processes are highly automated.
The flow engineer is responsible for the achievement of departmental objectives (safety, quality, delivery, cost). Here he works closely with the Group Leader (Supervisor), and the support departments (maintenance, service quality, safety).
Key responsibilities:
Leads and / or participates in the daily department meetings, and represents herein the technical part of the department
Monitors and analyzes KPIs, defines and implements proactive improvement actions
Creates smaller investment projects and representing the department in project teams for large investments and new product launches
Optimizes the use of the machinery in the department (OEE)
Serves as point of contact for larger machine breakdowns
Makes work instructions and provides training
Leads and / or participates in the investigation of customer complaints, defines and implements technical improvements to avoid this (experience with problem solving techniques is used: 8D, 5WHY ...)
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen events, cost reduction workshops, ...)
Leads and / or participates in prevention teams to increase security in the department
Sends one directly Kaizen employee for the implementation of small improvements

Industrial Engineer
Work experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing knowledge / skills:
Knowledge skills
Good knowledge of Dutch, fluent in English
Technical multi killed (electric, pneumatic, control technology, mechanical)
