Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.

Job Description for: Global Payroll Business Analyst
Job Title: Global Payroll Business Analyst
Department: Payroll – GPO Organization
Position reports to: Global Payroll Projects Senior Manager
Reporting positions: None
Main objective of the job:
Understand business requirements and develop in-house APEX solutions. Create technical and functional documentation for applications developed.
Responsibilities:
• Develop business requirements working in conjunction with the payroll team members for the various system solutions needed
• Develop automation solutions using APEX (Oracle Application Express- PL/SQL) for Global payroll operations in order to improve and enhance reporting processes and bring efficiency to operational activities
• Review payroll processes and recommend automation solutions for Payroll Senior Management consideration and implementation upon approval
• Back up support for Oracle RightNow platform (CRM Tool)
• Is responsible for prioritization of all reporting/development requests based on the importance and urgency of the request and with the deliverables agreed at department level; communicates and estimates the implementation timelines for all developments
• Participates and coordinates calls with all project stakeholders; engages appropriate resources to ensure the delivery of the implementation in line with the scopes and timelines agreed
• Performs functional testing on builds for preliminary Q&A
• Creates applicable test scripts for UAT and coordinates testing of all implementations by engaging with relevant teams; follow up on the bugs to be fixed and ensures a timely closing
• Documents in specific formats agreed with the Global Payroll Operations management all technical documents and functional user guides and makes sure all documentation is updated timely
• Assist the GPO Systems team with system implementation projects as and when the need may arise in order to achieve group goals
• Is proactive, contributes with ideas in order to improve the team activities and performance
• Ensures good communication with higher management regarding specific issues of the department’s activities
• Participates in internal and cross functional projects; collaborates seamlessly with cross-functional teams in developing solutions that are in the best interest of Oracle
• Understands and acknowledges the department policies and procedures
Business Analyst Skills /Qualifications:
• Fluency in English is a must;
• University degree in Computer science preferable. Finance, payroll, taxation or other finance qualifications will be a plus;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and to focus on end user needs;
• Organized, ability to meet deadlines in an orderly manner and have strong attention to detail
• Excellent computer skills (e.g. SQL, PLSQL, PHP, C , MS Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint), Oracle APEX development and knowledge of JavaScript is a plus;
• Ability to work on multiple projects and is able to prioritize tasks, often under strict time constraints;
• Ability to maintain composure despite tight deadlines and high demand environment;
• Ability to apply sound judgment to situations and an understanding of what and when to involve, inform, consult or communicate to key stakeholders or management;
• Flexibility in work schedule, including availability during early mornings and evenings;

Experience:
At least 5 years of SQL, PL/SQL programming experience including interpretation of business needs.
