Job Summary The Head of Accounting is responsible for managing the process/infrastructure for accurate recording, processing and summarization of financial results to be reported both internally and externally. The incumbent will provide direction, training and leadership to direct and indirect reports to build a strong team. Primary Responsibilities Manages the accounting department for work direction, prioritization, and accuracy. Establishes and maintains the processes and infrastructure necessary to ensure accurate and timely recording, processing and summarization of financial results and multiple consolidation levels involving numerous subsidiaries. Implements process improvement and automation to improve work efficiency and workflow. Assists in the establishment/maintenance of accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency in communication and reporting of information throughout the company. Prepares monthly financial results and partners with the planning and analysis function regarding variances to plans and forecast during the month end close process. Provide accounting guidance to the business on various topics. Research and provide proper accounting guidance on various transactions undertaken by the business. Education BA/BSC degree in accounting or related field and CPA/Chartered Accountant qualification. Experience 8-10 years increasing accounting responsibility experience. Strong GAAP and experience with different accounting framework. Essential Skills Experience of statutory accounts/tax filing process and problem solving on accounting/reporting matters. Self-starter/driven individual with track record of working in fast-evolving organization. Effective oral and written communication. Ability to organize and manage time to meet tight deadlines with multiple priorities. Ability to work independently/with minimal supervision and make judgments in order to minimize exposure or risk to the company. Strong background in multi-currency, multi-GAAP, consolidation and stand-alone accounting. Proficient user of Microsoft Office. Experience in Oracle would be advantageous.
