Job Description
As a Hue Cloud Test (Automation) Engineer your challenge is to test and release new cloud services under the time constraint of a very dynamic and vibrant consumer market.
Your responsibilities
Your responsibilities are to support the Hue Cloud development team by testing and releasing Hue Cloud system increments at regular time instances. To be so you are responsible for test case definition, test execution, test report generation and issue reporting towards Product Management. As our new colleague you need to have strong knowledge of and experience with connected products and the Internet-of-Things. Moreover, experience with modern web languages, interface specification, and being able to quickly prototype, test, and automate certain tasks is a must.
Translate Cloud functional and non-functional requirements into test requirements and test cases;
Create and augment the cloud test framework with (automated) test scripts;
Execute system test runs, including (semi-) automated integration or verification tests and exploratory validation tests;
Act as the knowledge source and technical advisor on the application of the cloud test framework towards cloud developers and third party component suppliers;
Technically lead all new feature-specific test preparation, execution and evaluation campaigns, including effort estimation and risk based priority setting and work with Field Quality engineering to help analyzing and resolving field reported issues.

Who you are
Bachelor or Master degree in Software or Electrical engineering
Strong problem solving abilities and learning skills;
You love to work with Internet-connected products and services;
You are creative, curious, eager to learn, and you quickly pick up new trends and technologies;
You have experience with testing and test automation of embedded systems and/or cloud-based services;
You have a solid knowledge of modern web languages like JavaScript and Python for prototyping and automation tasks;
You are an open communicator, with good English and preferably Dutch language skills to interact with experts in the field or in other engineering disciplines (suppliers, developers);
Having experience in working in complex (multi-site) development environments, preferably in the field of consumer electronics is seen as an advantage;
You are knowledgeable in test strategies (a.o. risk-based testing), system analysis and test plan creation and test techniques (e.g. Equivalence Partitioning, Classification Tree Method, Use Cases);
