Implementation Consultant Job description: Duties: Provides business focused as well as specific product expertise for client assignments Guarantees the effective implementation of products with respect to the client requirements Represents PROS in an effective and professional manner in customer-facing engagements Responsibilities Providing product expertise Leads training sessions for clients and/or partners Analyses the client’s specific needs and assesses fit and gaps with respect to native product features Documents the clients requirements and translates these into implementation specifications Effectively configures the product according to the specifications Acts as a technical and functional advisor for the PROS software suite Actively designs out-of-the-box solutions and proposes workarounds whenever suitable Assists the client with the deployment and roll-out of the PROS software suite Acting as a project team member Attends customer project meetings Consistently communicates and tracks progress on his/her assigned tasks Contributes to the update of internal project scorecards Reports progress to the client and the assigned PROS project lead Involved in the creation of sales proposals for scope changes, upgrades, etc. Wider responsibilities Represents the voice of the customer through motivating enhancement requests Contributes to best practices and to the knowledge base (training material, design templates, implementation packages, etc.) Consistently develops and extends his/her product expertise Acts as an internal reference for co-workers Profile and Skills: General or computer engineering degree Vocational qualifications in computing Demonstrable experience within software development, ideally Java Proven record of configuring packaged CRM software, ERP software, E-commerce portals or similar Proficiency in business process analysis and the usage of associated methods and tools Experience in leading the deployment of solutions based on package software products Industry-specific in one of the following areas – manufacturing, telecommunications, insurance, distribution – would be a plus Technical skills Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) Good knowledge of a scripting language such as VBA, PHP or Javascript or similar Exposure to distributed 3-tier architecture, ideally J2EE Language skills Excellent business and day to day usage of German is vital (written and spoken) Excellent business and day to day usage of English is vital (written and spoken) French language skills would be a plus Professional qualities Excellent inter-personal and communication skills Good listening skills and good teaching skills Ability to act as a trusted advisor and to offer exemplary customer service Geographical location of the job: Office base Munich/Frankfurt ideally 40-60% travel required throughout EMEA About PROS PROS Holdings, Inc.
