ABOUT THIS JOB
Baker Hughes has an opportunity for an Intern to join our Cementing Lab department for the summer of 2017
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Under supervision conduct routine laboratory tests, including the necessary checks and operations of equipment required in the laboratory.
Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.
May provide records of such equipment and others to the customer representative at the customer site.
Assists senior personnel in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results for internal/external customers.
Carries out all required responsibilities safely and as described in the standard operations manual.
Communicates results to supervisor in detailed manner.
Performs other related duties and handles special projects, as assigned.
Conducts all business activities in accordance to Baker Hughes HSE policies, legal compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Engineering degree required.
Previous experience working in a Laboratory environment will be beneficial.
Detailed orientated.
Good technical understanding.
Background in Fluids or cementing will be beneficial.
Strong communication skills in English.
