Biometrics in Lundbeck The Biometric Division has a total of 80 employees in Copenhagen and Singapore, respectively. We are responsible for capturing, handling and analysing data from clinical studies and epidemiological studies – this includes clinical assessments and mobile health data captured e.g. via smartphones or wearables. We are responsible for design of studies, statistical analysis as well as development of new advanced statistical methodology. We are also working very closely with colleagues from Research on Bioinformatics challenges. Together we keep abreast of current practices in drug development, state-of-the-art scientific and methodological aspects within the field of Statistics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology and Health Economics and Outcomes Research. Your job and the journey As a graduate in Biometrics, you will start in the Biostatistics department working closely with biostatisticians on clinical studies, getting a thorough introduction to clinical development within CNS. You will rotate to the Global Analytics department being introduced to statistical methodology within epidemiology and contribute to clinical development projects using Real-World Data. You will also spend some months with the Department of Health Economics & Outcome Research and the Department of Market Access to obtain an insight into how we make use of health economics modelling and statistical analysis for pricing and reimbursement negotiations. There may be an opportunity to spend time with our Biometrics team in Singapore to better understand the clinical development and market access environment in Asia, but otherwise no travelling is planned. While being on the programme you will participate in a wide range of development activities - everything designed to guide you through the programme, making sure you are on track and able to unfold your potential. Qualifications Our preferred graduate has the following qualifications: You have a master’s degree in a Statistics or Mathematical sciences with a maximum of one year post-academic work experience You have an interest in applying statistical methods to biological and clinical problems e.g. from working with epidemiological studies in academia familiarity with statistical software packages such as SAS or R Your academic achievements are above average and English language skills are excellent You have ambitions and push yourself to achieve results You are eager to learn, contribute and apply knowledge You build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives You actively seek new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels You adapt your approach and demeanour in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations Further information Join our open House event on April 20th at Lundbeck in Valby.
