Identifies and determines which files and corresponding file types are meant for localization. Manages files with help of version control systems. Determines the number of files, words and graphics in the files. Prepares production environment by ensuring the correct format and availability of all files, translation memories and project instructions. Performs the required hardware and software setup. Converts materials to translation format and restores original format by performing a reverse conversion. Extracts strings for translation from materials such as graphics and embeds translated strings back to the original materials. Captures and edits screenshots, video files and audio files and replaces original objects in the source materials. Tests the technical components compilation prior to localization to ensure the compilation works properly. Compiles or arranges the technical components. Troubleshoots issues occurring in the technical processing of files, e. g. non-functional or improperly working software assemblies, tools, processes, etc. Inspects the files delivered by the translator for the compliance with the criteria required. Develops a process of testing required to control the localized product. Corrects the localization, functional and „cosmetic“ errors found during the localization process. Proposes the particular processes and tools to be used in the localization if those are not specified in instructions. Develops different macros and programs to make the localization processes easier or to automate them. Saves, updates and archives all the necessary project files and information according to the approved project structure. Communicates the status of the ongoing and expected projects with the Team Lead on regular meetings. Reports any issues arisen to the Project Manager in a timely manner. Tracks one’s own hours spent on the project work (TS+). Performs other tasks according to the manager instructions, provided these tasks are not in conflict with the local law, good manners or company internal directives. Responsibilities: for early and complete project delivery to the local Project Manager, for the quality of the delivered projects, for adhering to rules, guidelines and standards determined by the company and agreed with the client, for keeping confidentiality regarding the company internal matters, for properly performed job tasks resulting from the position and instructions from a manager, for the compliance with the internal operation directives and regulations.
