Godiva ChocolatierLogistics Manager EMEA Country: Belgium Department: Supply Chain EMEA Job summary: The Logistic Manager assures smooth, customer friendly and cost effective inflow and outflow of finished products in line with the agreed lead-times, delivery specifications and inventory levels. He proposes cost effective SLA's for internal functioning and for suppliers of logistics and transportation assuring compliance with customer requirements, customs regulations and he supervises their execution. He defines the Standard Operating Procedures with the co-packers on subjects of planning execution, stock management and labelling activities. Job description: Managing distribution centers (internal & external) and co-packers: •Decides together with the director sc emea, on priorities related to logistics and translates them into ambitious objectives and action plans. •Assures performance in line with kpi's for delivery performance, lead times and inventory levels of finished goods. Assures that all processes, systems and procedures are in place as well as the required sla's in order to meet the set standards. •Assures a well-organized and structured inflow, inventory management and outflow of finished products in line with the sla’s. •Defines the standard operating procedure with the copackers, biweekly planning meeting with the copackers in order to assure the capacity requirements can be met. •Contributes to the npd (new product development) process by validating the feasibility of new products and providing optimal product pricing for the copacking activity. Transportation: •Decides together with the global head of distribution & logistics, on priorities related to transportation and supervises their translation into ambitious objectives and action plans. •transportation should be cost effective, compliant with local and international legislations and in line with (internal and external) customer requirements based on formalized sla's. •identifies key transportation needs and required service specifications and provides inputs to the shipping manager for negotiation with transportation suppliers. •assures that third party suppliers function in line with agreed on sla’s and initiate corrective actions on a timely basis. Single point of contact with customs authorities and official transport associations and implement new process (free trade agreement, restitutions, simplified procedures, etc…) and assures the compliancy of Godiva in terms of respect of the existing customs rules and transport rules (iata,cmr) Customer specific labelling: •Assures efficient and qualitative execution of the labelling activities and that appropriate supporting processes and systems are in place for external logistic partners. •Takes initiatives together with the copackers and the internal partners to manage the increasing complexity and regulatory requirements. Intercompany order management •Leads the intercompany coordinator (the contact for the inter-company shipments): supply planning (info on availability of products, order confirmation,), organization of international shipments (booking, invoicing, pre-alerts, follow up, complaints handling,) from firm order date until complete fulfilment and assures the operational excellence Hygiene, ergonomics and safety: assures that safety, ergonomic and hygiene sop’s are respected. People management: 6 direct reports and 8 indirect reports. Budget control and follow up Your profile: ? -Passionate about logistics ? -Bachelor/Master’s degree with 7-10 years of experience in managing logistics within international environment, preferably in food ? -Apics certified (cpim, cscp) or equivalent is an asset ? -Knowledge of concepts, processes, systems and procedures related to international distribution and transportation. ? -Advanced knowledge in erp system (bpcs/navision/…)and in excel, access, powerpoint and basics ms projects. ? Experience in environment with vast number of npd’s & high seasonality ? -Can easily shift between being hands-on and applying the right tactics. ? -High experience in and demonstrated capability in people management ? -Proven continuous improvement track record Strong experience in change & project management ? -English, french or dutch We offer: We offer you the opportunity to develop yourself in an international company.
