CommScopePosting Position Title Materials Planner Job Description Purpose(Summary of position's basic function) As a Materials Planner, you are responsible for your own materialschedule, reviewing current demand (forecast + backlog), your current supplyplan and the current available-to-promise (ATP) quantity. You will be processing and monitoring daily purchase orders based on MRPresults, this in accordance with the overall BU targeted inventory level.Assuring timely delivery of purchased components and finished goods by buildinga constructive relationship with several supplying parties is a key element inyour position. In your central role between customer and supplier, you will have anintensive daily interaction with customer service in order to offer a highservice level based on customer expectations. Asa key-person within the product value stream, you are participating incontinuous improvement projects within the current Supply Chain, focusing onplanning and logistics. This as a part of dedicated project teams, or on anindependent base. Accountabilities (Describeduties from most to least important; use action verbs; refer to instructions) External/Internal Customer Service Respond to Customer Service Team requests/expedites in a timely manner Monitor and support fluctuating demands through SAP – MRP system Place purchase orders with appropriate dates and quantity in line with MRP requirements Reviews & maintains forecast data for assigned product range Monitor daily performance and assess long term business issues Foster positive relationships with both external and internal suppliers and customers Work with suppliers, customers and operations team towards continuous improvement Runs and analyzes necessary reports to maintain an accurate schedule Support processes invoice discrepancies, solves discrepancies on incoming material Data accuracy Regularly check and support maintenance of master data and system accuracy Past Due Analysis Monitor intercompany/supplier deliveries Monitor and analyze delivery performance Supplier Relations Monitor daily performance and communicate to vendors accordingly to improve on time delivery Work with suppliers and other members of purchasing team towards continuous improvement in the areas of quality, performance, pricing and lead-time reduction whenever possible Inventory Management Maintain order policies and take ownership on safety stock/ROP levels to optimize customer service Work with warehouse and shipping team Requirements (Refer to instructions) Required · Bachelor or Masterdegree in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent by minimum 5 years experience ina supply chain environment. · Planner/materialcontroller experience in a systems driven environment · Problem solvingattitude · Fluent written andverbal English · Maintaining excellentcustomer service levels under pressure/stress-resistant · Excellentcommunication skills · Good working knowledgeof MS Office (more specific excel) · Flexibility Advantageous · Working knowledge ofSAP · Other language skills Auto req ID 5505BR Employee Status Full-time City Kessel-Lo State/Province Belgium
