BMR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Support Engineer to work for our client who are an engineering company located in Clevedon, Somerset.

Broad activities
Acting as a Liaison between the Test Technicians and Engineers in EtO, the position exists to provide test-based assurance that the systems are fit for purpose.
Formal authoring of NSTAs that are clear and workable in the test environment but that also form a traceable route back to the requirements of the system
To provide support to the shop floor for testing of non-standard systems.
To liaise with the Engineers to determine and define the correct level of testing.
Skills
Ability to perform complex test procedures accurately and record results clearly.
Ability to write clear and concise Non-Standard Test Addendums (NSTAs) which accurately capture the testing required to prove functionality.
Understand the reason for tests and to determine the applicability of a test procedure to determine the required information.
Main Responsibilities:
Analysis of requirements to determine what testing will be required and how it is to be performed.
Formal authoring of test documentation that is clear and workable in the test environment but that also forms a traceable route back to the requirements of the system.
Provide support to the shop floor for testing of non-standard systems.
Liaise with the Engineers to determine and define the correct level of testing.
Understand the reason for tests and to determine the applicability of a test procedure to determine the required information.
Knowledge of the development test, type test and production test phases of the engineering process.
Ability to work with test personnel to perform testing which is away from the normal tests performed and use influencing skills to ensure tests are carried out and recorded correctly.
Attention to detail and right first time approach;
Good written and oral communication;
Any skills in the following areas are also beneficial:
·Use of Microsoft Office
·Generation and modification of HMI Configuration files
·Knowledge of HAZOP processes, Safety Reviews and formal product definition.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualified to degree or HNC/HND in mechanical or electromechanical engineering; appropriate time served apprenticeships or forces experience will be considered.
Practical test or assembly & test background with knowledge of build and testing of complex units, preferably in the abatement industry.
Experience of production industry and working under delivery pressures.
