Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Direct, coordinate and support program manager in the planning, organization, control, integration and completion of industrialization plant based activities for new program launches. Maintain a leadership role within cross-functional teams to ensure a successful launch of all new programs he/she has in charge, while adhering to TENPLUS and quality guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure successful product launches.
Ensure that the manufacturing process meets customer and Tenneco requirements with regards to safety, quality, product performance, standardization, timing, delivery, and financial performance.
Work with the program manager on simultaneous product/process development to ensure that the designs are feasible for manufacturing prior to Engineering Release.
Establish & execute the project industrialization plan in close collaboration with the local launch team
Collect, Monitor & Update Footprints + Capacity
Drive ‘make vs buy’ process in line with the manufacturing strategy
Assure Process Development&Validation: process layout, process flow chart, PFMEA, control plan, EH&S review, work instructions,…
Define equipment & tooling specifications in collaboration with plant process engineers and EU Core Competence Team and assure compliance with manufacturing standards (output, scrap, capability,…)
Provide input for the capital approval process
Ensure that appropriate packaging is selected
Monitor timing & trigger if needed actions to resolve Industrialization Timing Conflicts
Identify + implement plan/strategy for Service (OES / OESS)
Coordinate with local team (Process / Q / Log Prod / SCM / Maint HR / FI /..to assure all requirements are implemented according to project timing
Approve:
Approve Initial Risk assessment (Pre-Award) from Global Accounting
Approve Project Risk assessment (Post Award) from program manager
Approve Manufacturing feasibility analysis
Required Skills
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
5 years of related experience in the automotive industry related to Project Launches or New Products Introduction.
Spoken & written English is mandatory
Knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes
Program management / project introduction experience
ISO/TS16949 and APQP experience (as specified in AIAG manuals)
Strong team building skills.
Ability to write concise reports and present information to management and customer groups.
Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Be able to work with little direction (other than standard procedures), be dedicated to achieving results and be able to sustain high drive and energy levels under sometimes intense working conditions.
