Professional Services Engineer Summary: Infinera Professional Services Engineers are highly skilled individuals who have expert knowledge of all Infinera products and applications. These engineers provide the first point of contact for Infinera customers for all Services and Support activities. In addition the Professional Services engineers work closely with Infinera Account team and all other Infinera departments and directly with the customer to ensure that our customers receive the World Class Infinera Support, known as the “Infinera Experience”. Your Key Responsibilities Would Include: Being proficient in all supported releases of Infinera products Being proficient in presenting and demonstration to customers of the Infinera Equipment Provide technical assistance to Infinera customers from product trial through implementation Manage operational aspects of customer trials and deployment Resolving customer-identified problems Represent Infinera in customer service review meetings Generating Ops review reports and delivering Ops reviews to the customer Driving customer interests within Infinera Providing technical expertise to local account teams Plan, manage and execute SOW/contract deliverables for Infinera Professional Services offerings Assist in customer-specific test plan development and trial execution Customer management of high visibility technical issues Providing onsite support during deployment to ensure customers easily integrate Infinera into their operations Playing an active role in kick off meetings to ensure customers are covered for all aspects of Operations – Training, Service Logistics, TAC, etc Writing of Method of Procedures (MOP) for technical activities Position Requirements: Excellent communication skills, technical knowledge and services requirement identifications, in-depth knowledge of physical and logical network designs, teamwork, and organizational skills Provide operations review and professional services solutions to customer. This includes using PowerPoint, white boarding and presentation of material Superior technical competence in trouble-shooting real-time embedded software, optical and digital hardware, and network management systems Strong technical background Optical, WDM, IP, Ethernet, MPLS, MPLS-TP TCP/IP experience, and troubleshooting skills required, with emphasis on the following protocol, OSPF, ISIS, RSVP, GMPLS, and P2P Strong technical background testing or supporting of the following: NM/OSS software using XML (MTOSI), SNMP, Drivers license Periodically extensive travelling will be required Fluent in English. Beneficial with Swedish but not required. Educational Qualifications Master / Bachelor Science Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a minimum of 7 years’ experience demonstrating success and growth while supporting or testing high-speed optical networking products for the service provider market.
