Responsibilities
The Project Manager will report directly to the Business Operations Program Manager and will primarily work directly with Business Operations and Other Teams, as required. The Project Manager will work with and lead projects within the VSIL team, Cross Functional and also with Key Suppliers; the aim is that Projects will be managed to ensure that Strategic priorities are delivered to a very high standard.
The Project Manager will be expected to drive and own projects and project engagement to fruition. Ideally the Project Manager will work across the organization and up to SVP Level.
The Project Manager role will ensure that best practice project methodology is applied from initiate through delivery, ensuring that change, risk and timelines are achieved to the highest standard.
Support and Lead the development and execution of various types of operational and strategic business initiatives and projects, which may include supplier engagement, process improvement and strategic facing projects
Lead and contribute to process identification, development and process management
Work with the Network Team Manager and Business Operations Program Manager, provide effective support and leadership for key projects in development and execution.
Drive and own strategic projects through KIP management and reporting, which compliment decision making processes.
Manage and maintain effective Action, Issues, Risk and Change logs
Own and control effective project communications to all Stakeholders through SVP levels
Manage, control and own big data analysis and supporting teams on understanding data and implementing findings
Facilitate team meetings and cross-functional workshops
Be a liaison between business units on projects that have a multi-organization or business unit scope
Proactively anticipate and work towards mitigating risks to project execution and/or stakeholder engagement
Engage and manage all Verizon Senior Leadership Operational presentations and visitor requirements
Very Strong stakeholder management and Customer First Focus
Qualifications
Must have:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or any other technical discipline, orsix or more years ofworkexperience
Six or moreyears of relevant workexperience
Ideally, you'll also have:
MBA
A Project Management accreditation is essential – preferred PMI
Experience or certification in Lean Six Sigma is a plus
Ability to drive strategic results at all levels, regardless of reporting structures
Proven record for managing multiple simultaneous projects on time and within budget
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills, including ability to create presentations using MS Power Point and experience presenting to all levels of an organization
Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills, including ability to conduct outside/inside research and analyze data
Use MS Excel effectively to develop models and drive analyses
A focus on strategy, operational processes and customer experience
Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility
Experienced team leader with proven facilitation, team engagement, change management and problem solving experience
Comfort in working up and across the organization – working with senior staff members and front line employees
Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking that results in new ideas that drive the business forward
Track record of handling extremely confidential information appropriately
