T2 BiosystemsTracking Code 245-093 Job Description The Regional Account Manager - Europe must be an energetic, entrepreneurial individual ready to join our commercial organization. This role reports directly to the General Manager, International. The individual will lead, manage and support the development and execution of market specific objectives, strategies and tactics to drive the sales of instruments and consumables into hospital microbiology and molecular laboratories as well as support/drive distributors to do the same. Responsibilities: Build, foster, and maintain positive customer and distributor relationships, coordinate and collaborate with various functional areas and departments within each site to ensure successful customer adoption of T2 Biosystems' products Drive implementation and utilization of T2 Biosystems products through active customer training (lab and phlebotomy) and troubleshooting, coordination of test usage protocols in hospitals and labs, execution of physician education, development of economic models, and definition of patient selection criteria Meet and exceed assigned instrument and consumable sales goals/quotas within the assigned territory both direct and through assigned distributors Actively utilize Salesforce.com database to provide accurate sales forecasting and other territory management activities Develop account-specific strategies and share feedback and successful approaches with internal team members Operate within established expense budget Attend and exhibit at conferences and trade shows as appropriate Monitor competitive activity and trends within territory and industry Perform other responsibilities as necessary in support of overall customer needs and/or to drive company success Skills and Experience: University degree in biological science or equivalent experience English speaking, multilingual preferred Located close to a major airport 5+ years’ experience successfully selling capital equipment and consumables, preferably into microbiology or infectious disease departments Experience supporting and managing Distributors to successful achievement of sales quota Experience with consortium selling (hospital clinician, lab, and administration) Proven success calling on clinicians (Infectious Disease, Critical Care, PharmD) with the ability to influence behavior related to new diagnostic tests Experience in implementing new diagnostic systems in laboratories and experience training lab technicians on appropriate techniques Ability to understand and re-educate clinicians on impact of outcome studies and peer- reviewed publications Demonstrated proficiency in achieving annual quota targets and accurate forecasting Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills Computer proficient particularly in the MS Office and Salesforce.com environment Self-motivated, success oriented and demonstrated collaborative, patient-oriented approach Extensive travel is required (estimated 80%) mostly in EU, some US Job Location Amsterdam (or nearby), , Netherlands Position Type Full-Time/Regular
