Background & Team Presentation
Within the Corporate Research & Science department, you will join a team that is interested in 3D modeling and realistic physics simulation technologies for interactive experiences in environments combining the virtual and the real.
3D printing (or additive manufacturing) gave a special impetus to the search of biomimetic forms. Indeed, 3D printers can manufacture any shape with a manufacturing cost that is not related to the complexity, only the volume of material used.
This requires a reinvention of the shape of objects: it becomes interesting in some cases to design very complex structures, including lace structures as light as possible. This corresponds to the natural evolution of bird bones, quite hollow and filled with purpose stiffeners.
It is thus automatically calculate 3D biomimetic forms with solid parts and blister parts, from multi-physics performance constraints (thermal, structural, fluid).
Your main task will be to specify and develop software to calculate 3D geometry and cellular biomimetic interactive speed for a user to quickly evaluate a wide variety of solutions. Depending on the progress, the project will also address the design of functional assemblies.
The work will be done in teams with several research engineers specializing in mechanical fluids, mechanical sound, and 3D modeling.
Role & Purpose
In this context, you will:
• Map ecosystem simulation and modeling of the state of the art
• Participate in the development of technology prototypes and the underlying calculation modules in C ++. Mathematical modeling and optimization design codes (continuous and discrete world) will take an important place, but you will also be prompted (e) to intervene in the definition of man-machine interface
• Define scenarios set up tests and analyze results
• Being of proposals and innovation in all aspects of the project
• Know present your work in front of all the engineers, apprentices and trainees of the extended team, and document your work complete and attractive way
Candidate's profile
Student (e) Engineering School or University Master, preparing a diploma level +5 or +6.
You specialize in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science.
