Job Description
The in-house Legal Department of Dassault Systèmes Biovia Corp. is searching for a talented commercial attorney with substantial experience negotiating, drafting, and analyzing a wide variety of technology-based transactions. This position will be based in Cambridge, United Kingdom and will primarily support business opportunities within the EMEA markets. The position will have primary transactional drafting and negotiation responsibilities on deals and will require the provision of ongoing legal counsel and contract interpretation to BIOVIA Sales, Marketing and Business Development team members. The position will also be expected to support other legal projects as directed, including the administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships. A successful candidate will be diligent and proactive, show excellent business judgment and strategic thinking and be capable of working independently and collaboratively in a collegial, fast-paced team environment.

Job Requirements
Demonstrated experience advising clients in structuring complex commercial transactions.
Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, complex license and services agreements, technology vendor agreements, and distribution/dealer agreements that comply with company policies and risk tolerance
Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy, together with the ability to manage several simultaneous projects under deadline pressure.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written; must be able to: (1) ask clear, concise questions involving complex technology to get requisite answers from business partners; and (2) provide advice to all levels of the company using legal concepts that business people can understand.
Ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Education
Basic Qualifications
3+ years prior experience, preferably in a transactional-focused in-house practice with a high-tech business.
Juris Doctorate degree, LLB, BL or other equivalent qualifying law degree with excellent academic credentials.
A current Solicitor Practising Certificate issued by the Law Society of England and Wales and good standing with The Solicitors Regulation Authority or a license to practice law within any state of the United States of America and a membership in good standing with the bar of such state.
