In order to strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for an application engineer for a hardware-in-the-loop simulation as a resident engineer for VW (w / m) in Wolfsburg.
As a resident engineer you form the technical interface to our customer on site. You are responsible for the further development of our hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulators and the related MATLAB ® / Simulink ® modeling. In the day-to-day business, you coordinate short-term support cases as well as longer-term development projects. In addition, you transfer the customer wishes and needs back into our company and thus form an important interface to our product development and technical sales.
Volkswagen AG is based in Wolfsburg. A comprehensive training is given at our headquarters in Paderborn.

Your tasks:
Commissioning and software adaptations of the HIL systems for the integration of ECUs in the field of comfort electronics, drive train and vehicle dynamics at the customer site
Implementation of HIL simulations and ECU tests
ECU application, optimization and test of vehicle dynamics control devices on the HIL simulator
Maintenance / further development of models in MATLAB / Simulink for ECU tests
Assessment of test results (independent and together with VW specialists)
Technical support in cooperation with the support team at our headquarters
Your profile:
Successfully completed technical studies in electrical engineering, automotive engineering, mechatronics or mechanical engineering (Bachelor, Master, FH / Uni)
Experience in automotive electronics development or software testing is desirable
A technical training in electrical engineering / electronics is an advantage
Experience in one or more of the following areas: Vehicle technology, modeling (body / comfort, combustion engines / gearbox / driving dynamics) and simulation (MATLAB / Simulink), programming skills, control technology (mechatronics, automotive control systems, electronics)
High customer orientation
Good German and English skills
