Then the Legal Counsel role for our Nordics market at Philips Lighting is the opportunity you are looking for. Your responsibilities As the Legal Counsel, you are responsible to provide legal services to the business consisting of corporate & commercial advice, advising and supporting contract negotiations in all aspects, as well as dealing with claims handling. Main tasks: Acting as the business partner and responsible for legal matters in the Nordics markets Acting as the legal advisor on wide-range of contracting matters and in different corporate and commercial matters Being the Compliance Officer for the Nordics, driving General Business Principles (GBP) and Compliance in the markets Advising on claims handling and litigation matters Addressing intellectual property matters together with the intellectual property department Advising and supporting legal aspects of new business initiatives. Advising and supporting the efforts to identify, prevent/minimize, and respond to legal and compliance risks We are looking for You have an academic degree in Law and appropriate license or credentials to practice law. In addition you have: At least 6 years of Legal experience, preferably from a law firm and in a corporate role in the industry Broad legal experience in various fields like contracting, structured projects, company laws, employment, and compliance in multinational businesses Cross-country experience in the Nordics are beneficial Experience with complex project business situations, dealing with systems & services Practical, solution oriented while addressing legal requirements, exposure, and compliance Able to bridge between business needs, corporate policies and applicable local laws Able to explain and convince colleagues, both internally as well as externally Excellent interpersonal and communication skills on different organizational levels Your team You will report to the Head of Legal Europe and be working with smart, passionate, energetic legal colleagues across Europe. Next to that, you would have a close relationship to the Nordics team and act as first point of contact for legal support, for the Nordics management, business and functional colleagues.
