Job Description
Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA has an opening for a Technical Solution Consultant focused on the Finite Element Analysis (FEM) and Multi-body system simulation (MBD) for our SIMULIA brand based in our Milano office.
The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers working with Abaqus and SIMPACK software to provide simulation solutions to a broad base of customers from the Automotive, Aerospace, Manufacturing and other industries.
She/he should be able to leverage own technical expertise to explain, demonstrate, and prove the value of our solutions to our clients and partners in support of our revenue objectives. She/he will provide high quality customer services including technical pre- and post-sales support, consulting services, and training on SIMULIA products. Experience with automotive workflows involving industry standard modeling practices and complex nonlinear solution methods, is necessary. Excellent communication skills are critical as she/he will need to share own knowledge with clients, colleagues and partners.
Position Description
Specific duties and responsibilities may include:
Support customers to resolve day-to-day issues and provide the best practices recommendations via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings
Document software errors and enhancement requests
Contribute to opportunity identification
Effectively communicate the Dassault Systèmes SIMULIA solution value and technology; via presentation, demonstrations and technical proofs
Define engineering processes, develop the workflow methodologies
Conduct training seminars
Mentor users on best practices when using SIMULIA software
Contribute to and conduct consulting services for customers
Help define and optimize customer hardware and software infrastructure
Engage in sales and marketing activities such as user conferences, sales kick-off meetings, trade shows and seminars
Travel to customers, prospects and internal meetings.
Candidate's profile
Education
An MSc or PhD, in Engineering: Structural or Mechanical or Aeronautical.
Requirements
Background:
Experience with Finite Elements and Multi-body simulation. 3DS Company Knowledge.
Competencies:
Work experience in fields related to SIMULIA products: Abaqus and SIMPACK would be advantageous
Knowledge of complete, end to end automotive workflows (from modeling to post-processing) in one or more of the following domains: Multi-body dynamics, Durability, Noise and Vibration, Crash
Experience working with automotive OEMs/Tier 1 Suppliers
Experience with performing simulations using Abaqus, ANSYS, Nastran, Dyna, Fluent, or other commercial FEA simulation packages.
Experience with pre/post processing software like Abaqus CAE, Hypermesh or Ansa
Experience working with CAD software such as CATIA, Unigraphics or ProEngineer
Experience with one or more of the disciplines; DOE, Optimization, Stochastics, and Six Sigma.
Experience with programming languages such as Java, JSP, JavaScript, Jython, Python, MQL, HTML, XML, Tcl, C++, Visual Basic, VBScript, DOS/Windows Script, Unix/Linux Shell Script, C++, FORTRAN.
Experience working with High Performance Computing systems
Ability to work well under deadline and customer requirements.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently as a member of a team and individually.
Exceptional problem solving skills.
Motivated, goal driven, diligent, detailed oriented, and organized.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English, and comfortable discussing technical issues with others of varying levels of IT and engineering knowledge and experience.
