Service Manager
We are looking for a Service Manager to join the Race Bank Offshore Windfarm Service Team. This role is based offshore on an SOV and is on a 2 week rotation. The Wind farm is managed from an operations base located in Grimsby and that would be the location for boarding/unboarding of the SOV.
As a Service Manager, you will have responsibility to oversee service operations and first line commercial support on our wind farm. You must have previous experience gained from an operational role where you have taken responsibility for a large team of Technicians. Another key element to the role is customer focus and again you must be able to demonstrate previous commercial experience working closely with customers. Key Responsibilities
As Service Manager you are responsible and accountable for ensuring implementation and adherence to strategies, policies, processes and methods for service operations activity (technically and commercially) for assigned organizational unit including:
Lead a Zero Harm Safety culture at the site
Implement defined central policies and guidelines, and defines and ensures implementation of function specific processes procedures and/or tools
Ensures the delivery of services on an operational level with respect to process adherence, service quality, and profitability.
Primary interface at site for commercial activity
Implements workforce development measures
Acts as primary escalation contact to customers and resolves issues with external and internal stakeholders.
Supervises/conducts the negotiations of and adherence to Service Level Agreements
Supports in developing service Leads
Ensures obeying regional laws and regulations
Manages organization unit(s) assigned, and lead/coordinate dedicated management and staff.
Detailed Activities Include
Manage safe, timely and profitable provision of services provided by Siemens on site; overall responsibility for performance against contracts held with customers; management of field resources, site supervisors and Service Coordinators as required to achieve/exceed service provision set out within customer contracts.
Responsibility for driving correct performance of Siemens team on site (Safety, Quality, Schedule, Costs) Effective management of Wind Farm under warranty and maintenance contract.
Enable scheduled/unscheduled maintenance to be carried out within timescales.
Line management and performance management of direct reports within Leadership Framework / Performance Management Process
Manage first line commercial elements of the contract with the customer at site.
Escalation of complex commercial matters and effective communication of issues to all stakeholders
Maintaining timescales of planned maintenance activities; create daily, weekly and monthly work plans for site teams as required; maintain service schedule tracking for management information (KPIs)
Control and technical verification of work orders, timesheet and vehicle report data prior to transmission to office personnel; confirmation of time data, parts consumption to allow billing (service vs warranty) and parts replenishment to be initiated.
Communication of HSE, quality and technical related documentation and customer approval as required.
Communication of technical queries to technical support and field staff
Prepare "operational problems" and "planned maintenance" information for monthly reporting Take part in all aspects of maintenance team activity including out of hours rota system; scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, fault finding, housekeeping
Ensure that Operations Manager is made aware of commercial deviations and contract variations
Continuously assess competence and performance levels of site teams and instigate training / improvements as necessary
What do I need to qualify for this job?
Previous experience leading operational teams in an engineering environment ideally gained within a Service or offshore environment.
Experience managing and developing Customer relationships.
Commercial knowledge
Product technical knowledge would be advantageous.
