Configuration and Quality Auditor Team Leader (Aerospace)
My client is a global leader in aerospace design and manufacturing. Based in Bedfordshire, they are currently seeking to recruit a Configuration and Quality Auditor Team Leader to join their expanding in-house Configuration Team. The successful candidate will lead the Team in all business auditing activities including ensuring that all audits are conducted in a timely manner and all that findings are commuted to stakeholders and actions. You will also manage individuals within the team including recruitment, training, development coaching and performance management to support business audits.
Applications are invited from Quality Auditors, Configuration Engineers, and Aerospace/ Aeronautical/ Mechanical Design Engineers with line management experience who have worked in aerospace / automotive / special purpose vehicles industries. Individuals with experience of the auditing process, ISO9001, EASA regulations, and/or aerospace design configuration are of particular interest.
This role covers a range of additional responsibilities including:
* Leading the Team to initiate improvement plans from audit findings
* Executing the audit programme by planning of audits in timely manner whilst minimising impact on business delivery
* Delivery of findings from audits to stakeholders to ensure corrective actions are taken and implemented
* Taking responsibility for effective application of auditing methodology including mapping of documentation and reporting strategies
* Ensuring that configuration control is implemented throughout the business
* Working closely with planning and production departments to ensure manufacturing capability is maintained throughout
* Supporting the process of change management throughout the business and life cycle
* Supporting the management of non-conformance in configuration and change
This is a challenging role; the successful applicant will need to be determined, have strong people-management skills and significant experience in a similar role. Candidates must be able to read, analyse and interpret technical procedures and regulations, as well as the ability to write reports, procedure manuals and effectively convey information to all relevant stakeholders. The role will also involve occasional national and international travel so a driving licence and passport are desirable.
