Your contribution to something big
Bring Deep Learning (DL) expertise to our teams to develop creative state-of-the-art solutions for automated driving
Development and implementation of novel Deep Learning (DL) algorithms to solve problems related to automated driving (e.g. multi-sensor classification, traffic prediction, learning from demonstration)
Content-oriented leadership & guidance of existing Deep Learning and Machine Learning experts
Strategy development for the field of DL with focus on automated driving applications
Evaluation and comparison of DL algorithms for specific applications and related tasks, in particular with regard to performance, training and suitability for embedded applications
Technical discussions and identification of new applications within the automated driving team
Close contact to the scientific and industrial community in DL, scouting and assessment of new approaches
Implement algorithms for a variety of computational situations (real-time, distributed, offline, online)
Build awesome solutions that make cars drive themselves in complex real-world situations
What distinguishes you
Doctoral degree with 3+ years of experience in the field of Deep Learning
Broad knowledge of machine learning algorithms & principles
Solid background in optimization
Proven programming skills, in particular C++ and Python, strong experience with DL frameworks such as Caffe, Theano, Torch
Knowledge of Linux and development on Linux systems
Ability to understand and implement complex algorithms efficiently and correctly
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to multitask and deliver on development tasks
Experience with modern software engineering tools
Experience working independently in a large software setting
Strong publication record (e.g. NIPS, ICML, AAAI, ICLR) required
Experience with robotics and sensor data processing are a plus
Ability for leadership, teamwork, motivation for international collaboration
