Your responsibilities
To guarantee the high quality towards our customers we pay great importance to reviews of our way of working. A proactive attitude and the willingness to learn from feedback are crucial to participate in discussions regarding software development.
Maintain daily contacts with both users of, and suppliers to the connectivity platform in a professional and constructive manner.
Design and implement embedded software on component level for the connectivity platform.
Develop automated tests of applications and components for the connectivity platform.
Integrate, test, verify and release the connectivity platform used in multiple connectivity products and systems.
Improvement, matureness and optimization of existing components within the connectivity platform.
Provide input for effort estimations, maintaining personal schedule and reporting on progress.
Review deliverables of software components of peers.
Adhere to processes (including tools, build process) and contribute to process improvements.
Collaborate with all roles in the development team.
Participate in standardization activities.
Keeping abreast of technical developments in own field and proactive knowledge sharing with others, especially in the field of (wireless) networking.

In your role you will be part of the Professional Systems R&D center Eindhoven. Within the center you will be part of an embedded software development team with about 15 developers and testers. The project team is located in Eindhoven but offers support to multiple teams located in Eindhoven, Bangalore and Shanghai.

We are looking for candidates with
Working and thinking skills at academic level for complex software and systems
3 to 10 years of experience as a software designer in embedded software development
Excellent communicational skills and business result oriented
Affinity with working in large cross functional teams
Experience in developing embedded software in C.
Experience with high level object oriented programming languages e.g. C#, or python is a pre
Experience with ZigBee, Bluetooth or other relevant wireless communication protocols.
Experience with wireless connectivity platforms e.g. reference designs for such platforms
Preferably experience in working with agile development techniques.
A flexible and open attitude combined with an entrepreneurial spirit with a continuous improvement mindset.
