We are looking to increase our sales within the UK and European mid-market sector, loosely defined as clients that consume between 1-100 GWh of energy. With an undergoing expansion program, the team is growing, and we are looking for an Energy Consultant. This position is a great opportunity to be in charge of your own earning potential. Gas and electricity are required by all businesses, so there is no shortage of customers. The working environment is relaxed, where people are left to their own devices to maximise their earning potential and we have high staff retention. Core Responsibilities Maintain and sustain relationships with small to medium businesses while developing new clients through existing company leads. The role will include identifying sales opportunities, initiating sales strategies, and exploring new enquiries while maintaining and expanding market knowledge. It is important to be able to identify and close deals by understanding business objectives and the decision-making process. We are looking for hungry and ambitious individuals who can lead by example and who have first-hand experience in dealing with high-calibre decision makers. However, it is not all about the sale. Key Skills and Experience Minimum one year working within in a business-to-business sales environment - essential Proven record of successfully meeting sales quotas over outbound calling - essential Adept at identifying, winning, and retaining customers - essential Effective communication skills, including active listening, objection handling, and closing - essential Strong organisational skills - essential Computer literacy - essential Experience in customer service - desirable Experience working in energy industry - desirable Core Competencies Integrity Accountability Problem solving Eye for detail Decision making Client focus Strong work ethic and desire to grow This role requires a professional and enthusiastic approach to succeed in a demanding, yet rewarding position. It needs someone hardworking, self-motivated, with the confidence and ambition to deliver success to both themselves and the wider business. Candidates need to be commercially aware, have excellent communicators, and be highly numerate, computer literate, and not afraid to pick up the phone.
