Junior Supply Chain Engineer (Business Area-Solutions – Global Operations)- Wommelgem

Global Operations is part of the Business Area Solutions within the GEA Group. There is a vacancy for a Junior Supply Chain Engineer for the Supply Chain department in Wommelgem. In this position you report to the Team Lead Project Supply Chain Procurement. The Supply Chain team includes 4 people and is mainly supporting projects for Application Center Pharma.
Your role:
Day to day technical buying, requests for quotations and price input in ERP;
Structured monitoring of Purchase Orders, Order Confirmations and Logistic statuses in close cooperation with the Supply Chain Engineer;
Monitoring quality and take/initiate corrective actions in case of deviations;
Align expectations with Mechanical Engineering, Project Management & Assembly;
Supports the team with selection of manufacturing suppliers;
Supports the Supply Chain Engineering with technical issues;
Working with the relevant Application and Technology Centers to implement the One GEA supply chain strategy.
Our Requirements:
Bachelor in Engineering (Electro-Mechanical) or equivalent by experience;
Knowledge of basic Purchasing processes;
Competencies: pro-active, team player, communicative, flexible, punctual;
Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Outlook, Access);
Language skills: Dutch and English fluently;
Knowledge of ERP (AS400, SAP) is an advantage;
You like to work within a cross cultural environment.
