Take charge of the legal strategy for the Bang & Olufsen business unit
As legal business partner, you will be responsible for certain specific areas within the Bang & Olufsen business unit, where you are expected to provide first class legal advice as the person in charge of driving the legal strategy for this part of the business. Bang & Olufsen is undergoing a larger transition, and you will be overall responsible for several major transitional projects.
Provide legal advice with a commercial outlook
The role as a business partner entails being the first point of contact for any legal issues that arise in the business. In addition, you are expected to work with the various legal areas on a strategic basis in order to support and add value to our overall strategy. It is also expected that you strive to find commercially viable solutions that best support the business while at the same time being legally sound.
Amongst other things, you will be responsible for legal aspects of the global distribution network including negotiation of and advice on contractual matters related thereto. You will also take the lead on several M&A related projects. Further, you will be involved in the implementation of projects relating to the new data protection regulation.
Join a complex, global business environment
To a high degree, all legal issues are handled from the Danish HQ, but with a global outlook. For this reason, you will be expected to reflect on and adapt to the cultural differences of a global organisation. The main challenge will be to gain an understanding of the complex, global business environment across the entire Bang & Olufsen group and use this understanding to proactively support the business by translating at times complex legal matters into commercially viable solutions.
Travel activity for this position is expected to be around 20-30 days per year.

The role is based in Lyngby and is part of the legal team, which is located in both Lyngby and Struer. The team consists of experienced legal profiles as well as IP professionals, who all deliver proactive legal business partnering. The culture is characterised by an informal and straightforward tone, where everyone is encouraged and expected to take responsibility. You will report directly to the Vice President, Global General Counsel.
Experienced legal advisor with a strategic mind-set
You hold a Master of Law.
You have a strategic and business oriented mind-set.
You have a solid background of at least 6 years post graduate experience from an international company or a law firm, ideally both.
Personal Skills
Ideally, you are flexible and very ambitious. Further, you have a high energy level and are able to make difficult decisions, in order to lead and redefine processes. You are outgoing and able to navigate several levels of the organisation and many different stakeholders. Moreover, you are a team-player who is equally able to take action independently. Fluency in English is a must, and solid academic records and proven business experience desirable.
