The position is based in Lyngby, Denmark. You will join a central sales function which is responsible for, among other things, driving distribution development and strategy towards our branded Bang & Olufsen retailers consisting of a global network of approximately 600-700 stores. In this role, you will work closely with management teams in our global markets.
Strategy execution and business development
Overall, your responsibility is to execute on and further develop the distribution strategy for our Bang & Olufsen branded retail network. As such, your role will include both business development responsibilities as well as strategy execution. This includes collaborating with our markets and taking the lead on profiling new retail partners, defining what we can offer and recruiting them. Working closely with the management teams in the markets, you will:
Implement a healthy future-proof business model for our retail partners
Maintain and consistently develop the contractual framework for our retail partners
Define how we invest in future store formats, including size, location and financials
Communicate with and manage internal and external stakeholders regarding distribution footprint and strategy
Strategic thinker with decision-making prowess
Ideally, you have a few years of experience from a top tier consultancy backed by experience from international retail business working in sales, marketing, finance, business development or the like.
You have an academic background at master or MBA level in sales, marketing, finance or similar, giving you strong analytical skills and ability to manage processes.
If you have operational retail experience and thus understand the challenges in retail from an operational perspective, it is a definite advantage.
You speak and write English fluently.
As a person, you are ambitious and used to working in a high-tempo decision process. Not knowing what the future may bring is an asset in your opinion. And to succeed, you can work at all levels to deliver the desired results and influence the strategic decisions of the business. Finally, you have great stakeholder management skills and work structured both in terms of your assignments and handling stakeholders.
